Welcome

Welcome to the site of the Environmental Health Research Network (RRSE).

The RRSE, funded by the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ), brings together virtually all Québec university researchers working in the environmental health field. The aim of environmental health research, which is preventive in nature, is to characterize the impact of chemical and physical contaminants of the environment as health determinants. Environmental health is a vast discipline because a large number of environmental contaminants are responsible for a range of toxic effects affecting both tissues and organs, and result in many pathologies.

RRSE researchers study four major themes. One is toxicogenomics, and the three others involve contaminant exposure: 1) measurement of biomarkers, 2) drinking water contaminants and pharmacokinetic modeling, and 3) exposure assessment in environmental epidemiology.

The common objective is to facilitate the sharing and integration of tools and specialized approaches so that members can address environmental health issues comprehensively.

Among other things, our site offers you information and tools pertaining to the themes studied, as well as a list of training programs in environmental health offered in Québec universities. We hope that our site will inform our members as well as all the people and stakeholders interested in environmental health.

Enjoy your visit !
