Environmental Epidemiology

Introduction   |   Current Reseach   |   Realisations

  • A young collaborator was hired less than a year ago. Since then, we have prepared a major paper that reviews all of the exposure measurement methods in environmental-type epidemiological studies or in an occupational environment. This paper will be made available to members as soon as possible. We are considering a workshop on exposure assessment for epidemiological studies.
  • A research protocol has been submitted to NCIC-CCERN and a grant awarded for the study (and its three components) described in Current Research.
  • We have prepared a paper on the relationship between parents’ alcohol consumption and cancer in children, with an emphasis on measurement of exposure. This work will be available to members as soon as possible.
  • We are preparing a study on environmental exposures in a chronic adult disease (details still confidential) which very probably has an environmental component; we intend to work on proposing original methods for the particularly difficult context of this type of study.

We are preparing a study on children’s pesticide exposure, which will include a comparison of the reported exposure history, a biochemical measurement, environmental measurements, and genetic susceptibility.
